German organizers planning over 230 trade fairs abroad in 2008
Calendar of events includes trade fairs in 31 countries
4.12.2007 China, Russia, India and the United Arab Emirates are key target countries for German trade fair organizers abroad in the coming year. Almost twothirds of the trade fairs are planned to be held there. The planner “German Trade Fair Quality Abroad – GTQ – 2008” recently published by AUMA – the Association of the German Trade Fair Industry – provides an overview of the events.

Of the 232 events in 31 countries currently being planned, 119 will be held in South, East and Central Asia, followed by the European countries outside the EU (53), the Middle East (18), Latin America (18), North America (12), the EU (9), as well as Australia (2) and Africa (1). For the purpose of comparison: in autumn 2006 a total of 203 fairs were announced for 2007.

Based on the standards of leading international trade fairs in Germany, theses events facilitate above-average trade fair success for the exhibitors even in difficult and remote markets. In total, 19 members of AUMA organize trade fairs of their own abroad.

The current planner provides information on venues and main product groups as well as on the year of foundation and the rotation of events in German and English. It is targeted at exportoriented companies in Germany and abroad.

The calendar can be ordered freeofcharge from AUMA, Littenstraße 9, D10179 Berlin, Tel.: 030/24 0000, Fax: 030/24 000330, email: info@auma.de. The planner is also available as download at AUMA’s website. Detailed information on individual trade fairs can also be found on the internet at www.auma-fairs.com or www.gtq.de.
